Yay! The Team Jesus Football Jersey has passed 100 views, which means it’s time for a spotlight to be shown on this super amazing shirt!

This football jersey is mesh, so it looks totally authentic, but it is comfy enough to wear around the house while watching the big game. There’s a large range of sizes to fit the largest or smallest football fan, and it spreads the Gospel in a fun, easy way. The royal purple may point to Vikings, TCU, or LSU fans, but really it’s being used here to symbolize the kingdom, dominion, and majesty of Christ! (UPDATE:: This shirt is now in white. I did away with the purple because of any team confusion! Also, it represents purity. Which we find in Christ alone 😀)

Now down to business! When designing this jersey, I wanted to take it beyond just identifying yourself as belonging to Christ or being a Christian, or even suggesting that God’s team is the best (which it is!)

I wanted to use a scripture that was thought provoking and capable of convicting the heart. So I chose Luke 16:13:

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Now, for me, this scripture applies for more than just money, it applies to technology, the world, evil, relationships, other people, and one’s self, too.
We should put nothing above God, and when you try to elevate something above God or to the same level of him, you’re trying to serve two masters. And as the scripture says, you can’t serve two, you’ll always love one more than the other… and for your soul’s sake, it better be God.

So with this in mind, the jersey’s purpose is to ask the question “who are you serving?”
By wearing this tee, you’re saying “I made my choice, I choose to serve only Jesus, and I’m on his team”, and you’re encouraging others to examine their lives, to discover what “gods” they are serving, and whose team they’re playing for.

Perhaps it will cause you to analyze your own life, and how you rep Christ. When a player puts on a team jersey, they are the representatives on the field for their team. When people see them, it is a direct reflection on the team.
When one player does well, the whole team looks good.

So, what team are you training for, playing for, and putting points up for? What colors are you wearing? Who are you representing?

Who do you serve?

I hope you’re team Jesus!
